Satellite Internet Nationwide

Looking for WildBlue Satellite Internet in Arkansas

WildBlue provides high-speed satellite internet to rural Arkansas, serving remote homes and businesses that cable and DSL can't reach. The internet has so much to offer rural Arkansas - job and educational opportunities, news, shopping and the satisfaction of staying in touch with friends and family. You don't have to crawl along with dial-up internet. You can get broadband in Arkansas no matter how remote your location.

Compare Internet Speeds
WildBlue: greater than 1,000,000 bps.
Dial-up: 56,000 bps.

Right now, you can get 1 Mbs internet service from WildBlue - more than 18 times faster than dial-up - for only $54.95 monthly (add $5.95 monthly if you want to lease rather than buy the WildBlue equipment). You'll have "always on" internet access - no waiting, no phone line tied-up, no software to load, and no getting bumped-off. WildBlue uses industry standard equipment and will work with PCs or MACs "as is". You can easily setup a home wireless network with WildBlue at very low cost. This allows more than one of your computers to use the internet at the same time, allows convenient sharing of your printer among your computers, and - we think this is the best part - relax with your laptop in any room of your home, or even outdoors (depending on the location of your wireless router).

We want to sell WildBlue internet service only when it best meets your needs. WildBlue is not for everyone. To that end, if any of the following apply to you, WildBlue Satellite Internet service might not be your best option...

Wild Blue is not for you if....

1. On-line Gaming is an important part of your internet use. There is latency in the round trips between your computer, WildBlue's satellite, and the internet. Role playing games are ok. Rapid action games - sorry, gamers will not be happy.

2. You require Voice over IP (VOIP). Keep your land line, or your cell phone. Satellite internet is not a viable option for voice.

3. You want to watch or download movies or tv. With the exception of short YouTube videos, satellite internet just does not have the capacity to handle large video downloads. Music downloads and photos are fine, up to a point. Read about the WildBlue Fair Access Policy.

4. You need internet access when you travel with your laptop or PDA. WildBlue is portable within the range of your wireless router - about 100 feet. Beyond that distance, you may need to sign-up with a wireless internet provider in Arkansas and use their wireless internet card. Keep in mind that the location you're traveling to - campus, airport, downtown - will often provide WiFi service. So, at these locations, you might not need to pay for your own private wireless internet provider. Be careful of locations that charge for WiFi access - usage charges can really add-up. Remember to make sure the wireless internet service delivers good service to your home - not just where you travel.
